Corrections Policy

How to request a correction

Email contact@mycontroversy.com with the subject “Correction Request.” Include the article URL, the specific statement at issue, why it is inaccurate or incomplete, and supporting sources.

Our review

We review credible requests against available records and may contact the requester, sources, or people named in the article. A disagreement with an opinion is not automatically a factual error, but opinions based on incorrect facts may require revision.

How corrections appear

Material factual errors are corrected in the article. When the change affects the meaning or reader understanding, we add a dated correction note describing what changed. Minor spelling, grammar, style, or formatting fixes may be made without a separate note.

Updates and developing stories

New information may be added as an update rather than a correction when the original article was accurate at publication. Updates should be dated when they materially change the story.

Removals

We generally prefer correction and context over deletion. Removal may be appropriate for legal obligations, safety, privacy, fabricated material, serious ethical failures, or content published without necessary rights.
