Respect for rights

MyControversy respects copyright and expects contributors to submit only material they are authorized to share. We may remove or restrict material when a credible infringement notice is received.

Copyright notice

Unless otherwise stated, original site text, branding, layouts, and graphics are protected by copyright. Quoted material, embeds, trademarks, and linked works remain the property of their respective owners.

Sending an infringement notice

Email contact@mycontroversy.com with the subject “Copyright Notice” and include: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; the exact URL of the material at issue; your contact information; a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act.

Counter-notice

If material was removed by mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice identifying the removed material and its former location, your contact information, a statement under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, and any consent-to-jurisdiction statement required by applicable law.

Important clarification

This email contact accepts copyright complaints. It does not represent that MyControversy has completed a U.S. Copyright Office DMCA agent designation. Formal safe-harbor procedures may require a separate federal designation.
